PUBLIC HEALTH

Dr. Beverly Triana-Tremain has at least 20 years of public health teaching, research, and consulting experience. Her background and skill set blends theoretical and practical approaches in Evaluation, Research, and Quality Improvement Processes.

She is a fellow in the National Public Health Leadership Institute and in 2006 established Public Health Consulting, LLC to assist agencies in improving the public health system.

She serves as a technical consultant to various local, state, and national private and public organizations in evaluation, research, and quality improvement. In 2009, she was asked to be a member of the Quality Improvement Technical Assistance Panel for the National Association of City and County Health Officials (NACCHO).

She is the evaluator or quality improvement consultant on grants received from RWJF, CDC, SAMSHA, RAND, and various state and local health departments. As a Research Associate with RAND, she develops instruments for data collection, conducts key informant interviews on community change, and analyzes data.

In her work with the Missouri Institute for Community Health (MICH), she participated in the development of a Voluntary Accreditation Program for Local Public Health Agencies. This was the first voluntary self-assessment standards for local public health departments (a model now being used on the national level and supported by the RWJF).
